Nary a day goes by that I don't hear about Fortnite in the classroom. Here is a helpful article for parents and teachers from the Child Mind Institute about how to handle Fortnite, how to understand its addictive attributes and how to enforce limits so that your adolescent has a healthy balance of screentime.

We are going to take class and an all-school photo this Wednesday, following Mass at COSP. Please help your adolescent look especially nice in their official uniform! Hair that lays down flat is always preferable....;)
I will remind your student to bring their black shoes if they are serving. I am also asking them to bring their prayer journals for after Mass. On Monday, we are going out for community service, performing yardwork before the snow comes. The adolescents should bring their athletic clothes but it is NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE to wear shorts either for school or for community service/HERO.
Additionally, HERO has school photo day on Tuesday. The only reason our students need to take a photo is for the HERO ID cards that are given to each child. Please help your student choose a top that would be appropriate for a school photo. They may wear their black sweatpants still if they so desire. Hello parents,
On Monday we are going out for community service working for Matthew Plankers' grandparents. We will be doing outdoor yard work so we are asking that the adolescents bring work gloves along with their athletic clothes to change into Monday afternoon. Thank you for all you do! Hello parents,
I hope you are doing well and staying warm today! I just wanted to reach out regarding All Saints Day - the younger levels are invited to dress us. The Adolescents are not required to do this. They are being asked of a different task this year - a select few will give creative, interactive saint's presentations to the younger levels (CH and E1) as well as put on saints "stations" for the younger students to learn about the saints in a new and different way. Those who are doing stations and presentations may dress up and wear props to illustrate their saint better, but none of them are required to come to school wearing the costumes. They should wear their uniforms that day! Thanks so much for all you do, In Him, Maria Individual Picture Day is this Friday, October 5th.
Your child may wear their outfit of choice (non uniform). If they have clothes that they find uncomfortable on, they may bring a change of clothes to school as long as they are modest and appropriate. We have our all class photo scheduled on an alternate day where we will be in official uniform. Blessings! |
