Hello A1 Parents,
I hope you are staying dry and awake today - it sure is a sleepy day.
We had a beautiful morning of processing around Glen Cary and having Father Blume lead us in blessing our space. We sang songs, prayed to Our Lady, and used incense and holy water around the church, through it, and through our environments. What a beautiful event to be a part of and a lovely, Spirit filled way to begin the school year.
This week we have some new events: our bus system began today as well as Spanish.
Tomorrow is our first run-through at COSP. Your child should be dropped of at 7:30 if they are serving as sacristan or altar server, otherwise 7:45 if they are attending the practice. If tomorrow or any other Wednesday you intend to drive them from COSP to Glen Cary, please let me know as I must take attendance and they are under WOS supervision while at COSP. Be sure to have them wear black shoes to COSP if they are serving in any way.
Thursday we will celebrate Sarah Turner's birthday by a little celebration in the classroom. We will doing a going out at a restaurant by combining her celebration with others in the month of September. Be on the lookout for that information.
Friday we will have our Second Great Lesson as well as venture out hiking to Bunker Park. Your adolescent should bring wear their special athletic clothes (black shorts/joggers, maroon tshirt, grey hoodie) to change into for the afternoon.
Finally, I would like to share with you the HERO registration policies. WOS is registering your student for you, but wanted you to be aware of the information and policies that you and your student are signing acceptance for. See the attached documents below.
One final note - the Adolescents are not drinking as much milk as predicted - I will ask that families on the milk and laundry schedule pause bringing weekly milk unless I email asking for it. I do not want to waste the milk or your money. Thank you so much for being so willing to contribute to the environment.
As always, let me know of any questions or concerns.
I will send an email at the end of the week detailing next week and homework assignments for the weekend.
